Barca Shines in 5-1 Win Against Mallorca

Barcelona’s impressive wingers, Raphinha and Lamine Yamal, stole the show on Tuesday night, as Hansi Flick’s side bounced back to winning ways with a resounding 5-1 victory over Mallorca in La Liga.

The visitors took a surprise lead in the 12th minute, capitalising on some comedic defending from the hosts. However, Ferran Torres, who replaced the rested Robert Lewandowski, equalised for Barcelona before Vedat Muriqi levelled the scores for Mallorca just before the break.

In an end-to-end encounter, Yamal eased Barcelona’s nerves when he won a penalty, which Raphinha calmly dispatched in the 56th minute. The game was put beyond doubt 16 minutes from time, as Yamal’s stunning outside-of-the-foot cross was tapped in by Raphinha.

The floodgates opened in the final stages, with Frenkie de Jong and Pau Victor adding gloss to the scoreline, which ultimately flattered Barcelona. Despite the convincing victory, Mallorca’s display did not deserve such a heavy defeat.

The result propelled Barcelona four points clear of bitter rivals Real Madrid, who have two games in hand. The win also snapped Barcelona’s three-match winless streak in La Liga.
